Tastes Like Shakkar
by Nisha Sharma
"There isn't a single dish that I could create that would taste as good as the both of us together."
I loved this book! I was really looking forward to Bunty and Bobbi's book, after seeing them in Dating Dr. Dil, and it did not disappoint.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ modern spin on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing
✨ indian wedding planning
✨ punjabi main characters
✨ she's a loyal, controlling wedding planner trying to plan her best friend’s wedding
✨ he's an egotistical and irritatingly sexy chef who's supposed to help her with the menu since he’s the groom’s best friend
✨ first impression gone wrong
✨ hate to love (on her side)
✨ forced proximity
✨ similars attracts: stubborn, workaholics who don't want a relationship
✨ "you make me crazy"
✨ amazing banter
✨ he falls first
✨ found family
✨ plus size fmc
✨ some spice
✨ kinks: praise, bondage, cl*t slapping, minor exhibitionism, toys
✨ taylor swift references
This was just so good! The main themes here really are making love work and the sacrifice it takes, community and family ties that one may need to break free of and a secret mystery of who is sabotaging this wedding?! Bobbi and Bunty were just wonderful together, and I love that they put aside their differences for their friends and came together, while simultaneously falling in love when they truly thought they hated each other. I cannot WAIT for the next book in this series!
