Three stars ONLY because of the amazing ace representation, breakdown and discussion of ace identities, and for how to navigate unexpected viral fame since TikTok has made that a relevant topic. 

If this wasn’t an ARC, I would’ve DNF’d. I hated the weird situation ship drama. I came to this expecting a silly goofy scavenger hunt and identity exploring shenanigans. What I got was the stupidest “oh i love you but can’t do anything because i made up something for the internet” bullshit. Krystal’s trauma was valid. Angela’s bullshit specifically surrounding the scavenger hunt and acting like that was a valid reason for inaction while she was actively communicating everything she felt was not. I *hated* the progression of their relationship. This wasn’t slow burn or yearning. It was just frustrating and annoying. It felt like the author was trying to drag things along to have a novel’s length of words- not actually developing a story. The scavenger hunt was such a subplot, I’m shocked it even managed to happen at all.
