Okay well, I really liked The Prince. I loved the scenes where we got to see Maxon and how he was handling things rather than how the girls THOUGHT he was handling things. But at the same time I kind of wish the entire story focused on scenes we didn't see. All those times Maxon was with the other girls. It kind of bugged me to be reading things just to see that America's assumptions in The Selection were accurate. More so it was just me thinking why did I have to re-read that?

The Guard I felt gave the reader more insight to what was going on outside of the Selection but still within the palace. As much as I can't stand Aspen and America, it was nice to see Aspen's point of view on things. There were a lot more behind the scenes...scenes in the Guard, so I liked that more.

Overall it was good. I probably should have read this before reading The One, because The Prince and The Guard take place in the first and second book, so knowing what happened was a bit confusing.
