We get to meet more of the Hales, Cobalts, and Calloways in depth in this book. For someone as charming as Maximoff, it was interesting to see him having beef with Charlie. The weird part is that Charlie doesn’t share what his beef with Maximoff is until near the end of the book, but he also isn’t really specific about what set it off. I’m hoping his attitude will change as he gradually unwraps all those pent-up feeling. Luna drives Moffie a little nuts I’m sure, considering she had sex for the first time without protection. It makes me wonder how you manage to be that rich and have that much access to resources on sex education and still find a way to make such a stupid decision. Luna is something else. As for the bodyguards, Jane definitely has a giant crush on Thatcher and I can’t wait to find out more about them later. Thatcher comes off as really cold and a stick in the mud from the perspective of Moffy and Farrow, but Jane probably knows a much kinder side to him. Akara also seems to have a friendly relationship with Sully. I’m assuming that will probably turn into something more in later books, but it’s nice that Sully has someone always looking out for her best interests. The fact that Beckett and Charlie are fraternal twins and still very protective of each other is interesting. The way Charlie interacts with Beckett is very different from how he does with Moffy and it makes me wonder what it is about Moffy specifically that ticks him off. I have a feeling there is more to it then what he told Moffy. Guess I’ll have to leave that to future books. Overall, I liked getting to meet the rest of the family. At the same time, I think I’ll probably end up liking the other characters as we explore them more than Moffy and Farrow, no offense to either of them because they are great characters. Anyway, looking forward to more.
