A Little in Love
by Susan Fletcher
I’m obsessed with the pretty printed pages in A Little in Love by Susan E. Fletcher.
I ordered this book from Scholastic because I love all things Les Mis so I thought reading the story through a juvenile character’s eyes would be interesting. This book give Eponine such depth as a character and really shows the development of a truly morally grey character. As a reader I’m walking the line between feeling sad for her life situation and seeing her as a villain because of some of the choices she makes.
This book is fantastic and I highly recommend this as a way to introduce morally grey characters to middle grade readers.
