The Breakup
by Erin McCarthy
This is the second book about the Jordan Brothers. The Breakup follows Christian, Cain's identical twin brother, and Bella, Sophie's sister.
Bella is a princess, not a royal princess, but she comes from a wealthy family and to anyone who is judging a book by its cover would think she is nothing more than a stuck up spoiled brat. She is in Maine with her family for her wedding, however, wedding plans are up in the air when she finds out that her fiance cheated on her.
Christian doesn't want a relationship, he just wants a one night stand. His primary focus in life is his son. The moment he lays eyes on Bella is his smitten, but also doesn't want to be with someone who is a spoiled brat. That is until he rescues Bella from the wedding she is running away from and truly gets to know the real girl.
I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of Bella in The Hookup and I wasn't much of a fan of her at the beginning of this book, but she grew on me. The more the story went on and the more we got to know Bella and how she felt growing up, the more I started to love her. Christian is a great father and wants nothing but the best from his son. I love his alpha male side and how caring he is when it comes to Bella and to his son.
I am glad we got a little more Cain and Sophie, because I absolutely loved those two. To see Christian and Cain begin to repair their damaged relationship was also great. It was time those two started to act like brothers and get over the hurt and pain they have caused each other.
I am hoping we get some more Jordan brothers because I am curious about the train caboose of fun hidden at the cabins.
