Being my first book by the author didn’t exactly knew what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised with the writing and the story overall.
A woman who wants to help others not so fortunate, a man that has a bad reputation but the actual truth is revealed soon enough and other side characters that together make for a good time for the lovers of historical romance. It’s a second chance at love that I’m always looking forward to in my reads even if it’s an arrange marriage.
The only thing that I haven’t liked, it’s Devan, he seemed a bit too careless about everything for my liking.
