I picked up this book not recognizing that this was a third book in a series but have to say, I don't think I missed anything by not reading the first two books first.

Overall, I enjoyed this one. The characters were well developed and the story itself kept me turning the pages to see how things would turn out for Tessa. I thought the way the story progressed and how Tessa and Guy's relationship was developed was well done. If you're looking for a new historical romance to pick up, check this one out! I'll be going back to check out the first two books of this series for sure.
