The Queen of the Tearling
by Erika Johansen
I received this book in a giveaway hosted in goodreads. I would really give this book a 3.5 if there was that option. The reason I gave it a 4 is because I would like so see where this world lead and how the ending redeem it self with the beginning of the book.
Read with caution. I don't know if it there may be spoilers.
I wish the clarified it. I dislike how the main character was treated in the beginning of the noble by the people that where sworn to protect her.
I dislike the instant attraction she had for a male character that she knows nothing about. Although it only appears in the novel in maybe a chapter worth throughout the whole book it still annoyed me. That was a major flaw of the character that annoyed me. Kelsea was so well written apart from that. The character was strong headed and doing everything in her power to prove that she was capable of what she was trusted upon.
I loved that literature was so important in the novel. That education was a major role in her character.
I dislike that the settling wasn't clarify. It felt as if the setting was sorta dystopian. The setting being after 100s of years after something happening in current times. That is another thing that really threw me off. The description of the surroundings wasn't really clear.
This book does attack a lot of sensitive issues. (rape, capitalism, sexism, pedophilia, ect.)

First thing. This book was a little different than what I expected. The setting/time period was very confusing for me in the beginning of the book. It wasn't clear at all. That is what throw me off from the book from the beginning.I wish the clarified it.
