This book is about the Children of God cult, founded by David Berg. This cult has gone by several names, thought in the most recent reorganization, it goes by The Family International. I first became aware of this cult through a podcast (Cults- available on Stitcher) that I listen to. I ran across the book when I was googling more information about the cult. The author was raised in this cult from childhood, and her grandfather was David Berg. This goes into details about the working of the cult, her immediate family life, and how she broke away at age twenty three to find something better. She endured some extremely gross things. I would suggest this book to anyone who is interested in religious studies or cults in general.
