Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
by J.K. Rowling
Prisoner of Azkaban is perhaps my favourite in the harry potter series followed by Goblet of Fire (though I think sometimes Goblet of Fire is my number one favourite, hard to tell), Deathly Hallows, Half-Blood Prince, Order of The Phoenix, Philosopher's Stone, and Chamber of Secret exactly in that order. Why Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite is probably because of how complex it is and for once Harry doesn't have to face Voldemort like in Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secret (I find old Voldy in the first two books extremely chatty to the point where I just wish he'd shut up and just kill me already). I love it so much when Harry got the Marauders Map, when he used the time-turner to save Beaky and Sirius, I love Lupin (who, let's be real, is the best DADA teacher Hogwarts had ever seen, and how he quickly became like a father figure to Harry), when Lupin met Sirius (imagine Lupin, all this time alone, one of his best friend in Azkaban for being a convicted murderer, two of them died, and he had to face being a werewolf alone without his best friends), i even love the dementors, those awful gits. I love it when Harry got his Firebolt from Sirius, I love Hagrid...oh I just.. this book is perfect. I am so emotional everytime I think about how happy Harry was when he thought he could leave the Dursleys and live with his Godfather. I always get so weak-kneed everytime I think about this book, honestly, I love it so much sometimes words fail me.
