Liam (MMC) and Layla (FMC) meet at a magazine company that Liam has just acquired, and Layla works there and literally runs into him. Their relationship lasts less than a year before it abruptly halts when Liam attacks Layla's boss for harassing her. Months after Liam and Layla try to move on with their lives, Layla captures the eye of a stalker. This takes a toll on her mental health, and the cops not believing her makes it even worse. This is a dual perspective story with flashes between the present and the past. It is quick-paced, with multiple plot twists and what I think is a surprise ending. I would give it 4.5 stars, but Goodreads will not let me. Would definitely recommend.
