[edit 3 oct] i'm bumping it down to a 3; the final chapter was brilliant, but, overall, i liked the book and a 3 star seems plausible. could make it slightly higher (3.25) bc of the literary merit of the book.
[original 27 sept] i was convinced i was going to give this a 3star, but the last bit "london, 1999" bumped it up considerably.
i enjoyed the movie a lot more, but reading part 3 and london, 1999 added some extra bits to the story and characters that i really appreciated.but the movie is better, in my opinion
