The Time of Contempt by Andrzej Sapkowski
3.0

Parts of this one were more difficult to follow. The author's tenancy to insert minor characters as narrators and to tell whole parts of the story in dialogue from a second hand party is definitely an interesting mode of story telling. History happens to the everyman, I understand that. When a story is sometimes told that way it can be a lot to try to keep up with, considering so many of these everymen die or are never heard from again on our characters' journeys.

Oh, and uh,
Spoiler it's a little rapey and the author doesn't seem to recognize that in the text. I'm so very conflicted on how to rate this one. The rest of the book was a solid three stars. The end... a solid negative three stars because no one owes anyone else sex for any reason. EVER.
