I ended up watching ‘Knock at the Cabin’ before reading this book and I think my overall opinion of the story in general is that it’s just ok. With certain aspects I think the movie did a better job and vice versa. I think there could have been even more psychological turmoil and I think this could’ve had a more direct ending because personally I don’t really care for open ended endings (unless the entire book itself is spectacular in which for me this was not).
