Love You Always
by AJ Alexander
I thought the premise had potential, but it wasn't as enjoyable as I wanted it to be. The timeline was quite confusing, and I think the book relies on the fact that the audience would have read prior books that connect the characters, but I didn't (and I don't think others have) and it made it even more confusing. It felt like the same scene over and over, of him screwing up and her forgiving him. I love age gap romances but this fely disjointed because he's almost two decades older than her but acts quite immature. I loved the girl gang in this book and felt it was a highlight for me. The last maybe 20% of the book was great and made up for a lot. Overall, it fell flat for me and I wanted to love it more but just didn't. Thank you to A.J. Alexander for the ARC of this book!
