This is my second time reading Northanger Abbey, though I confess it suffered a low rating the first time around simply because I did not understand half of the satire that was occurring. This time around though, it was positively delightful. Northanger Abbey is so witty and thoroughly enjoyable that it definitely takes a definitive place within my top 3 Austen novels. While Catherine may be an unlikely heroine, to me she is entirely lovable and I have no choice but to root for her the entire time.
