Ait peeps, where to start? I really liked it. There so much to dig here. A large and in charge studly sword-wielding icelander with crazy rope-skills who saves elves in his free time, and a sassy, arrogant dom-turned-needy-sub/bottom. That’s the good stuff right there.
I knew from the moment my friend rec’d this that I would probably love it. It’s romance, suspense, stalker, shibari and paranormal all set in the icelandic wilderness. It didn’t disappoint.
If you’re like me, then Jamie will probably annoy you a little, but I couldn’t help but like him at the same time, lol.
«‘Aren’t you jealous?’ Jamie asks. ‘Aren’t you afraid that I’m going to treat you just as badly? Maybe I’m not made for relationships.’ Finn ponders Jamie’s words, hiding a smile in his hair. It’s just like Jamie to behave arrogant and insecure at once.»
Jamie is a self-declared Dom, and has been the top in most sexual interactions, but Finn pretty much clocks on to his need for submission immediately. Jamie doesn’t really want to need it, but when he finally lets go, it’s quite spectacular. I wouldn’t label it as struggling, but he doesn’t give in too easily either. This dynamic is by far my favorite part of the book. Finn makes Jamie melt, basically. *chef’s kiss*
I will say, I felt like the climax of the stalker situation was a little underwhelming. I guess I wanted more suspense and danger, but it was still interesting, and I was kept guessing until pretty late.

Jamie was also in a relationship with a woman at the start of the book, but they break up before anything happens between him and Finn. The ex girlfriend comes back at one point, but no drama happens.
