read for Popsugar 2017 challenge: a steampunk novel

Somehow I managed to not to throw up on this book. Not really sure how. Don't know why I expected the sole female character to be treated well in a book explicitly titled about men, but I always have such high hopes. And wow, were they dashed spectacularly.

I read the summation of the next volume and found out about Mina's rape, and then the revenge rape in retaliation. Somehow still didn't throw up on this book. Still not sure how.
