A dark, yet bittersweet ending?

Basically it's a farewell like we expected but what comes after? Can he be free? Does he want to be free of the torment he endured as a child?

Some great stuff put to paper here, two parts making me go WoW and I always loved that this manga let's the art do the talking. I read this in 10 minutes, but it was a powerful 10 minutes.

Will re-read this series down the line.
