Groot

I AM GROOT.
I Am...
I...
Okay it gets annoying after awhile. Like, I do enjoy the character of Groot. To have someone actually always look on the bright side and also to have someone who can fuck you up but choose not to is always interesting concept. I also like Rocket and Groot's banter most of the time.
However the weakest parts of this are the action pieces. They aren't all that interesting and I didn't find this very funny. Like at all. I didn't laugh once, and I know it wanted me to. Which is a shame.
On the flip side I was surprised how much I enjoyed the nicer moments, filled with good character motivations, and some heartbreaking moments. The backstory of how Groot met Rocket, Silver Surfer issue, and the final few pages made this a worthy read. All the rest was just meh but luckily those three things I mentioned add up nearly half of it. So for that it's a 2.5 out of 5. But I'll go with a 3 cause I did have fond memories of the ending.
