The Scot's Vow
by Keira Montclair
adventurous
hopeful
lighthearted
fast-paced
I'm so glad I stuck it out after the last two books in the series because this one felt closer to the Keira Montclair books I fell in love with! I love Brin and Ceit. Maybe it was the glimpse of them you got in the last book, the Scot's Protector, that I was already anticipating their story but this book didn't disappoint. The way they fell for each other was sweet, both MCs were so likeable, and dealing with their own issues but also coming together in a really sweet and supportive way. I wasn't expecting the age gap, and I don't think that's something that's come up often in these stories at least not this significant of a gap. I loved this, and honestly it might be one of the books that I go back and re read because it was light and enjoyable.
Minor: Child abuse, Sexual assault
The beginning of the story starts with some young Scottish girls being assaulted and threatened with rape in front of their village by some bandits, while the patrol team is preparing to rescue them. But the description or instance may be triggering to some individuals.
