Okay so I read the trad published version and thought it had such a strong start but the pacing fell off a bit in the middle and end. At some point I’ll probably read the indie pub edition since it felt like it could’ve used an extra 100 or so pages because the story felt so condensed. There was a little too much telling instead of showing during different parts of the story for me but I still really enjoyed this overall. 

Anyways what I loved about this story was the BANTER! I was eating up all the little quips Cayden would say and the way he was so quick with it. The things he would say had me melting & dying simultaneously 🙂‍↔️

This core friendship group and found family was another aspect I adored! I have to say, I wish Finnian got more page time because I loved him! Can we get more Finn in the next book please?! 

This book had some pretty brutal moments that was unexpected, but felt completely necessary & lined up with the plot + characters. Plus the spice? Sheesh. I was into it 🤭

I thought this was such a strong start to the series. I’m excited and eager for the next book!!
