I gotta start by saying this book will not be for everyone, it’s dark y’all and if there’s a content warning I can just about guarantee you’ll find it in this one. BUT if you’re ok with dark and disturbing this one fucked me up in the best possible way. It had a cult which never gets old to me, podcast excerpts, which again, GIMME and old and new cases that may be connected. I really don’t want to say much more but there were such strong and powerful themes about women and feminism and power that really stuck with me. Also misogyny, patriarchy and gender roles, this entertains and it makes you think and at times it’s super uncomfortable but I still couldn’t put it down. It was also twisty and tense and just really, really good.
