This was such a great story with a little bit of magic and mystery. We have August returning to the small island after leaving many years ago after a fire. He meets back up with Emery and all of the past resurfaces. 

I love how the past POV looks at the main characters relationship with each other and how they are all tied to the island.

All the narrators (Emily Rankin, Dan Bittner, Mark Deakins, Kimberly Farr, Ari Fliakos, Dawn Harvey, Carrington MacDuffie, Kirsten Potter, Oliver Wyman) did a great job with making the story fully immersive.
