The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind
by William Kamkwamba, Bryan Mealer
emotional

inspiring
slow-paced
This was a different book that I expected and there were certainly parts that could have been more engaging. Overall, however, it is a lovely, hopeful, at times painful story. I am glad to have read it, really, because I think it illustrates how education can inspire and change the lives of many people. Obviously it isn't an instant fix, but the fact that education, even an education that was primarily accomplished through self teaching, can inspire someone to helping others is exactly why providing access to education is so valuable. Do read the trigger warnings though because there's a lot in there.
