The Cat Man of Aleppo

This little picture book made me cry. It's a beautiful story and the art is lovely.
It's the story of a man who started caring for cats who were left behind when their families had to flee the war in Syria. It's heartbreaking enough to think of families having to flee their homes during bombings, but then to have to also leave behind their beloved pets too. It breaks my heart.
