The Score by Elle Kennedy
5.0

ARC received for an honest review

I have loved The Deal and The Mistake, and had been impatiently waiting for The Score.

It was like Christmas came early when The Score arrived on my Kindle!

I always knew that Dean DiLaurentis' story was going to be a good one. The Score was everything I hoped it would be - and so much more.

Allie wasn't looking for a relationship, just a one night stand to get over her ex boyfriend. But as a reader, you just knew it was never going to be one night.

I adored Allie right from the start. She is smart, sassy - but still struggling with her break up.. keeping broken up that is.

Dean was not the full on unredeemable man whore I expected of him. He and "Little Dean" were all Allie's from the moment they were first together.

I did feel a little sorry for Dean at times, with the way his friends treated him, the way he was with women. How could Allie trust him if his best friends thought the worst of him.

But still there were some times where Dean and Little Dean had me laughing so hard, nearly falling off the couch laughing out loud.

The Score is a sexy, funny read. The banter between the Briar hockey boys, their ladies and Dean and Allie had me in stitches at times.

But there was also a deeper, darker even that came straight out of left field, completely blind siding me. It left me shocked, stunned, and so emotional. A few days later and it still shocks me.

There is also a little something at the end of The Score that is surely setting us up for the next book.

What I really loved about The Score is that it is pretty much angst free - woohoo! It was a nice change from so many of the books these days.

I love Ms Kennedy's writing, and I can't wait to see what she brings us next.
