I loved this book. I loved the link to Russian fairytales, the little intricate details that made you feel like you were in Northern Russia. The main character, Vasya, was awesome -strong, independent and stubborn. I felt that Arden created a solid base in part 1 to build the story to its crescendo in parts 2 & 3. Great writhing, and I can’t wait to start the second in the trilogy.
