This was a Goodreads giveaway that I won. The premise made the book sound amazing, I was excited to read it.
So praise: David Lowell has proper grammar and punctuation.
The rest: Adam and Eve would never speak the way they did before the original sin, and even after, they most certainly would not have told Archangel Gabrielle that they told God to “get bent”. It only went downhill from here. There was graphic and glorified violence for no reason, child abuse, nuclear attacks without any mention of the fallout and then she just spirits away out of existence? Then secret societies controlling the media? The same society with nuclear weapons? Finding all this info just randomly on the internet and she is the only one to have this info even though her father was a long time hacker? Yeah ok. Then a guardian angel who just fucks off and ignores the person he is supposed to be guarding? I just can’t. And there is going to be a sequel? I think I’ll pass.
This really needed a publisher/editor.
