I'm not a huge fan of young adult novels but this one is different. the cast is diverse, the characters well rounded and full. there are a lot of interesting supporting characters and the mindset and behaviour of the female protagonist is way less cliche and stereotype than usual.

I also liked the fact how cultural heritage was interwoven and treated in the world and the plot.
