Seven Days in June

This. Book! This is an important book and I am kicking myself for letting so much time go by before I read it. I'd seen the hype on Bookstagram and just never got around to finding out if it was all they raved about. Update: it is! The author says in an interview in the back of the book that she wants stories that "celebrate and amplify Black humanity. All parts of it." A FMC with an invisible disability (chronic migraines) who is a single mother and author of Black erotic fantasy, and a now-sober MMC who also writes but hasn't since he quit drinking who shared an intense connection for one week in high school and then reconnect 15 years later? This story is all about humanity, the good and the bad (look up CWs before reading), and I loved it.
