Nothing like a side of brains with your sorbet! yum. This books opening was super detailed and disgusting in a good way. I was gagging during some of it. I kinda messed up and read this not realizing it was book 3 in the series but think it actually works fine as a standalone.
The idea of serial killers that are also cannibals is nothing new but can’t say I’ve heard of an old couple doing it! I enjoyed how Holly investigated and even the realistic aspect of COVID. I do wish it had a bit less of a presence tho, because when i read fiction i want it to feel unreal.
Still enjoyed it and think maybe I will go back and read books 1-2.
