Received for an honest review.

I've got to admit at first I found this hard going. The language and wide use of slang was kind of hard for me to wade my way through. I know it adds to the characters and fits with their personalities but I found it almost annoying. I also found the wide use of nicknames a bit confusing. I haven't read the Club series so I found it a little hard to follow the different names.
But I liked Ball Peen Hammer. Keane really wore me down and in the end I ended up loving him.
BPH is a sweet story but I fear the use of slang will severely date it in a few months and I felt it wasn't all entirely necessary, I think the point could've been made without trying to be so hip but it was an enjoyable read.
