Clara Millen lives for forward process, she does not like to slow down, and she certainly doesn't know how to relax. So when her boss foists a paid sabbatical on her to combat her impending burnout, Clara is stuck figuring out what to do with herself. It just so happens that her old summer camp friends are hosting their annual vacation to the campgrounds at the same time, and Clara hasn't joined them in years. Upon her arrival, she's slapped in the face by reality when faced with the fact that she doesn't truly know her friends anymore. And to top it all off, the owners of the camp are selling the property to developers. Clara, craving something to keep her occupied, decides that she will make this The Best Summer Ever for all of her old friends. Even if it means having to be in close proximity with the boy she spent her entire childhood trying to one-up. Perhaps they can finally find a way to release all of their pent up frustration that comes with the constant competition between the two... And maybe, just maybe, they could have a shot at a real future this time.

I don't have much to say about this other than it was so much fun and a perfect summer romance read. I loved Clara even though I couldn't relate to her totally (I love myself a good vacation) and Mack was such a cutie pie book boyfriend. The only thing I had trouble accepting was that Clara could actually achieve such a drastic change at the end of the book. It felt more like the beginning of a self-discovery story than it did a conclusion to their journey, and that just kind of left me wanting more.
