Warning: Some spoilers may be included in my review.
This book gets 3.5 out of 5.0 stars because it seems like, in spite of the main characters still being a bit flat, the author does a good job of tying his loose ends up, mostly. I like that he brought back Gally without any “lovey-dovey oh look we’re all best friends now” crap. I love the big death scene, but I’m iffy about that “paradise” they find.

Okay, why the hell would you say no to getting your memories back? Sure, they might be tainted, but they’ve already run you around in so many circles that it can’t be any worse than what you’re already dealing with. Based on the memories that came back to others in the maze and what Thomas can remember himself, he was part of management, so to speak, and had a big part in actually setting the maze up. I just don’t get it. Minho and Newt probably would have gone along with getting their memories back if it hadn’t been for Thomas, so there’s just a whole bag of “what the fuck” right there. This book gets 3.5 out of 5.0 stars because it seems like, in spite of the main characters still being a bit flat, the author does a good job of tying his loose ends up, mostly.
