I get very excited when I learn that a new book in the Hidden Species/Here Be Dragons universe is announced and this first book in the Demons-In-Law series didn’t let me down.
Asher is a demon with the scariest Grandmother ever who wants him married and giving her baby demons to love. Garrett is a Hellhound with interests in teaching and social anthropology. After one very steamy night together they go their separate ways never to meet again. Of course circumstances have them back in each other’s orbit in the secluded village where the demons live.

So begins a very enjoyable story of fake boyfriends/marriage of convenience who fall in love after getting to know one another better and find their HEA. It’s an engaging low angst romance with a nice mix of sweet and steam, some great side characters to keep things interesting and some laugh out loud moments (drunk Sam makes a reappearance). My heart was happy as I read this book and I was smiling at the end. There’s a sneak peak at the next in the series and I can’t wait for it!
