Finding Home by Emilia Finn
4.0

I got this book from Prime Reading. I have not read anything by this author before, but I found myself drawn into the story immediately. This is not just a romance, this is a romance mixed with a bit of a thriller.

Both of the main characters are strong and driven people. Kit is having to raise a teenager when she's not much past her teens herself. In addition, she has to deal with family that isn't happy with how her father's estate turned out. Bobby is a fighter, trainer and also an extremely devoted family member, both to his actual siblings and mother and to the "adopted" family they have taken in. He's also very disciplined in his own training to compete in the ring.

The connection between the two is very quick. They both back off, but can't stop thinking about each other and once they give in, it's very insta-love. Normally that bothers me, and to be honest it did with this book at first too, but then it kind of grew on me. The way Bobby so easily commits to Kit and everything she has going on.

The fighting side of things is not something I've read before, but I did enjoy it. The thriller part is what really kept me on the edge of my seat and having trouble putting the book down. I don't want to spoil things, but suffice it to say that tensions are high and your blood will be racing as you read faster and faster to see if everything will turn out ok.
