I just love the way that Lange writes family drama!

Tara, Eddie, and Geraldine are a family thrown together with Geraldine raising and looking after the other two when their mom dies and their dad abandons them. Tara just got out of prison from a drug charge and upsets the home Geraldine has held together in her absence. But there's more to the story than that.... Tara was protecting someone.

Now they have to navigate Tara's reintroduction to society, Ger's obsessive hoarding and Eddie's brain injury. But they will get through it with each other and secrets come out that upset the balance they have tried so hard to reach.

Brian, one is the cops that interrogated Tara, keeps around now that she's out and compromises things when he gets involved with Tara all while trying to get Roland-the reason she went to prison. I didn't agree with him in the decisions he made at the tires he did but also saw that he really wanted to help Tara.
