The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith
3.0

Quick synopsis: Down on his luck, PI Cormoran Strike (with the help of his temporary assistant Robin) is hired by the wealthy man to investigate the suicide of his supermodel sister, Lula Landry. Everyone, including the cops, believes that Lula committed suicide, but as Corman enters her world, he soon realizes that not everything is as it seems.

Thoughts: I’ll admit that I only picked this up because it is written by J.K. Rowling. Did I love it? No. Did I hate it? No. It was a well-written mystery with great characters and an interesting plot. My biggest issue with it was that it was WAY too slow. I found myself bored and nodding off at times. I will try the next one, but I’m not in a rush to get it.
