Dancing at the Pity Party
by Tyler Feder
I already love Tyler Feder's art style, which is adorably relatable and super diverse and inclusive cartooning that I've seen in her Bodies Are Cool book and on her IG. This is her personal graphic memoir about dealing with her mom's death, which happened when Feder was 19. I haven't grieved an immediate family member but I am not unfamiliar with grief, so parts of it were still recognizable to me. It is open, honest, funny, emotional, and lovely.
