The Joy of Missing Out: Live More by Doing Less
by Tonya Dalton
My mom has been a huge fan of InkWell Press for over a year now. I used to roll my eyes at her for all the different little planners and other things she would buy along with them. However, I am inspired by Tonya Dalton's mission for InkWell Press. The title of this book is something that I have been struggling with for some time now... Missing out. In the past few years, I have been thinking about what I give my time to and what things I should say no to. The Joy of Missing Out: Live More by Doing Less was definitely written for workaholics and go-getters like me. Stressing the importance of doing what my passions are over being busy is something that I need to continue to engrain in myself. The layout of The Joy of Missing Out: Live More by Doing Less built upon each other and it can be boiled down into a great quote from the end of the book.
Slow down and rethink busy. Focus on priorities. Live a life that feels meaningful to you. Choose a life centered on your priorities. Embrace the joy of missing out.The current situation of the world has all of my plans for the end of the school year and the summer but it has also made me reflex on what is important and The Joy of Missing Out: Live More by Doing Less was a great read of this season.
