Such a great book!! It was so tragic and romantical, in the way that so many of the greatest books are. I definitely shed some tears throughou this book. I came to really love the characters and root for things to work out for them, but it was just a slow burning tragedy.

I just wish that infidelity wasn't a big theme in the romance. It wasn't what most of the plot was about, but it was a pivotal part of the plot (not a spolier), and it's just not my favorite. The romance was so well written though, so I still enjoyed this book. I would have enjoyed this book more otherwise.

The book includes the 'unexpected inheritance' and 'suprise father' tropes, and I really am a fan of both of those, so it was a really fun read. The author was so great at describing the settings, and she really made me feel like I was in Tuscany with the characters. I wasn't sure whether I would love this book when I started reading it, but I really came to love it and maybe will even read it again someday.
