The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn
4.0

The other Miss Bridgerton is the third book in Julia Quinn’s series of novels featuring members of the previous generations of Bridgertons and their neighbours and long standing family friends The Rokesby.
Poppy had two seasons with no luck in encountering a suitable suitor, she decides to visit a friend that soon will have her first child, in the country side in Dorset. It’s a great place to explore and one day in her walks she discovered a cave where she shouldn’t be and gets kidnapped.Soon she meets the captain of the boat where she is brought and finds out that they will sail to Lisbon.
We have two characters that are forced into proximity by not so normal circumstances( as he technically kidnapped her )and the time they have to spend together on the ship trying to overcome the boredom is when they realise how much they enjoy each other company through their dialogue, curiosity towards each other and the intelligence and laugh out loud moments that they share. They come to think that each one is not what they were expecting especially because she is part of the Bridgertons but very beautiful and intelligent and he is a devastating handsome, charming and also infuriating at times, the captain of Infinity who is actually a spy for the British government.
Overall I enjoyed the book, is a very slow burn, a great half part of the book but disliked that there wasn’t much action, no dangerous adventures like in others books and the end seemed to rush, to sharp cut just to wrap everything up and end the story.
