The chapter about adoption is not as well researched as I would have hoped and as per usual centres hopeful adoptive parents, openly advertising the practices by harmful for-profit adoption agencies and writing uncritically about most aspects of international adoption. If you are looking into adoption, especially in the US, I would recommend reading a lot of additional material written by adoptees.

The rest of the book was great and has brought me forward in my decision. So from that vantage point I would definitely recommend it.
