It’s always necromancers who get all startled about dying. You’d think that they of anyone would have half a brain about their own mortality


this was a nice story giving a bit of background info and world building to characters introduced in Gideon  the ninth -which i would highly recommend reading before this because otherwise nothing makes sense and the characters behavior might seem strange and the  setting even stranger.

i personally really enjoyed the characters that are the main ones in this story in Gideon so i was very happy to get a little more from them. 

i’d this story necessary? no

but if you enjoyed some of the series and want a little more especially from the sixth house characters? why not read it?
