My god this book was nothing but pain. We didn’t get any plot until 70% in, and then almost none after. I guessed every “twist” way before it happened because this woman’s idea of foreshadowing is to beat you over the head with “hints”. Our main characters spent almost the entire book apart, and then when they got together all they did was fuck and talk about things we already know. This book made me want to tear my hair out from sheer boredom and frustration.
Moderate: Body horror, Death, Emotional abuse, Gore, Misogyny, Physical abuse, Sexism, Sexual assault, Blood, Gaslighting, Injury/Injury detail
