this was a Solid book

boy am i Delighted when i manage to find a book like this. there was mystery! there was world building! there was magic! betrayal! intrigue! sexy times! compelling characters! gigantic magical cats! and now a whole series set in the same universe with different characters?? count me the fck in.

I basically swallowed whole the enterity of the Middle Land Series by [a:K. L. Noone|40953046|K. L. Noone|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png], and I am constantly on the hunt for books (and series) that make me feel like that, that have that feeling of fantasy but with romance and at least a bit more mature than your average ya so i don't roll my eyes at teenagers (oof, i'm getting Old). and this, i think, will be it for me for the coming days, lol.

anyways, this was a very entertaining book. it didn't blow my mind, but it very much amused me and i did leave a bunch if highlights and that's always a good sign. my favorite one ahead:
