Absolutely hate this style of writing. There is a bit of humorous banter, that I enjoyed. The twist, when it came, was a shock. But I cannot, in all honesty, say that I enjoyed this book. It was a bit maddening - along the lines of the magical realism / lyrical / fantastical writing. I’m surprised that this book is so hyped. Clearly not my style.
