This book, while long, read extremely fast and easily due to the fact that all of the theoretical parts and sciencey bits are presented in layman’s terms. I found some parts of the book interesting while other parts seemed pointless- they include both probable inventions that maybe used in the future and also ones that are extremely unlikely. Therefore, some part of me thought these less likely inventions might be filler and I didn’t see the point to every single invention that they included. While I loved the inclusion of the comics, some of the humor wasn’t exactly my style. It’s difficult to explain but I felt that the writers behaved as though they needed to include heavy sarcasm in every line or perhaps a pun. Personally, the amount of humor was just a little over the top. While I appreciate the idea of having a science book that is more lighthearted, I think it could’ve been a little bit more subdued.
